About our Agency
The Kauffold Agency began in 1955 when William A. Kauffold bought into the Hahn-Rummel Agency in Sebewaing, Michigan. Under William, the Kauffold-Hahn Agency thrived in the Sebewaing and greater thumb area for many years. Bill Kauffold (William's son) joined the agency in 1970, followed by Randy Kauffold (William's son) in 1979. The growing agency acquired the Robert McLean Agency in Caseville, Michigan in 1985.
William A. Kauffold passed away in November 1991. Bill and Randy bought the agency from their father in 1991 and have continued to grow the business, purchasing the Raymond Fiebig Agency in Sebewaing in 1992 and the Bailey Agency in Pigeon in 2003. In 2010 the Caseville location was moved to the Pigeon office. In 2018, the agency was purchased by Bill's daughter-in-law, Lynette Ballard, and Brenda Kady. There are presently two offices; the Kauffold Agency, Inc. that resides in Sebewaing, and the Bailey Agency that resides in Pigeon.
The Agency is a member of the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) and the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA). The Agency holds a Total Quality Agency (TQA) Designation. Few agencies in the state hold the TQA Designation.

Lynette Ballard
Lynette joined the agency in 2006. She holds her agents license for Property and Casualty. Lynette works as an agent in charge of personal and commercial lines, and as the agencies administer. Her goal in the agency is to build long lasting relationships with customers. Lynette is married to Eric Ballard, and they enjoy spending time with their children and new granddaughter. Amy joined the agency in 2021 with 43 years of experience working in the insurance industry. She works in the Sebewaing office and is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health.
